Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,152 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,992 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 521 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 173 yards from the back tees.
Mcdonald Hills has enough variety of terrain to challenge any skill level. There are numerous trees that can alter your shots, and water hazards come into play on several holes. The signature hole is #14, a 435-yard, par 4, featuring a 90-degree dogleg left fairway. This hole plays uphill to a very narrow green, with out-of-bounds areas to the left.

This little local course was a suprise to find at $23/18 cart on this "hilly" terrian. There wasn't a flat fairway/green to be found and @ 6,000 plus yards / par 71 made it a challenge to land in the right areas. The greens were in great shape that held shots and putted true. Many blind tee/2nd shots so bring your range finder/GPS for your yardages. Glad I stopped and played if not for any reason to work on my non-level lies that add to the challenge. In the afternoon my 3hr round was a nice pace and working on course managemnet for every shot made my mental game alittle sharper as nothing is straight forward. I will play again on my next trip through here during the afternoon.
